MotionPicture LookBook: Rad Bad Valentine

Here is the official video I created with Jackie of the Hourglass and Andrew Provost. Enjoy!

Description:
A fashion-infused MotionPicture LookBook that celebrates a fresh take on Valentine’s Day.

Inspiration:
Inspiration came from our muse: Jackie LeBrun of Hourglass Fashion. The goal was to create a Valentine’s video, but instead of the typical soft-romantic tone with motifs of love letters and hearts, we wanted to depict something raw, something honest. In the video, Jackie represents the modern gal in love with life. She’s adventurous, bold and independent, sometimes a little messy and a little wild. Why should that change on Valentine’s Day? It shouldn’t.
We pulled inspiration from 90′s grunge, the rush of having a crush, modern youth and sugar-highs, as well as fashion icons like Courtney Love and Karen O.

Creative Crew:
Jackie LeBrun: Stylist, Fashion Director, Project Leader and all around Muse
The Hourglass Blog
Danielle LeBrun: Art Direction, Creative Management, Photographer
Things She Made
Andrew Provost: Media Director, Cinematographer, Editor
Written for the Screen

MotionPicture / LookBook:
We’ve coined the term MotionPicture LookBook because that is exactly what these videos are: A collection of fashion trends and concepts captured on film. We present a point-of-view on fashion and culture through film, music and story. The goal is to inspire the viewer and communicate street-style fashion in a fresh way. We love making them and have many more in the works!

Had SO much fun making this video and can’t wait to share more!
HAPPY (early) VALENTINE’S DAY! XOXO

Cosmic Kathleen of Inspirafashion

I met Kathleen of Inspirafashion at Fashion Night Out SF last year.
Immediately I loved her personal style, warm personality and the beautiful photographs on her fashion blog. She captures the perfect mix of Cool & Femme // Eclectic & Fresh.
I am hoping to do a short series of graphic works for Kathleen – but here are a few artworks I started. So…more to come!

Check out Kathleen’s blog here.

Haunted Holidays

We ventured to the Dickens Fair to kick-off the Christmas season.
The experience was very unique…one that almost felt… haunted!
I don’t know if it was the fog, or the dimly lit mock town, or the performers dressed like Ebenezer Scrooge, or maybe it was the ale I tried…but The Dickens Fair was a little spooky, kinda like a giant haunted holiday town. So just for that – I definitely recommend it. Happy Haunted Holidays!

because

I made this the other day, not really sure why I was feeling romantical…
Now I know why: This weekend marks my anniversary with Andy, my sweetie pie hunny bunch of 4 years!
Time flies. I wonder if it’s fate that brought us together – especially since Andy is from the East Coast and I am from California. How the heck did our paths cross at a small bar in North Beach?! It really is a mind trip to think about that! And how the heck do we have so much in common?! I never have been one to believe in soul mates and destiny – I am kinda a realist when it comes to that stuff. I think I get the cynicism from my dad – a classic INTJ Myers Briggs type. But I met Andy and BOOM – Im a hardcore believer.
I think a love-inspired roadtrip is in order – and lots of champagne!

Because what is worth celebrating if not Love ?

Festivals & FishEyes

The Bluegrass Festival in Golden Gate Park is one of my favorite annual festivities in SF! Who wouldn’t like a FREE three-day concert with a gazillion bands to choose from?! My sister rented a Fish Eye Lens which definitely worked its 90′s music-video magic on these photos. Very very good times :) And on a side note – Ryan Bingham is quite studly in person . Wow.
